Catechism is basically teaching the foundations of our Christian faith as found in Scripture. As a church, it is our calling and responsibility to provide our covenant children with the tools of the faith. Children in 6th-12th grade are enrolled in catechism classes. We also have a catechism program for 3rd-5th grades called Kids' Quest Catechism Club.
The 6th-12th grade catechism classes are using the "Life in Christ" curriculum. Our senior high catechism class is taught by Pastor Chad (meeting in the choir room). Our junior high catechism class is taught by Harwyn Berens (meeting in the youth room). Our middle school catechism class is taught by Sue Zwiep (meeting in the Library). We seek to bring the teaching of Scripture in a relevant way to the life of these young people. All classes meet from 11:00-11:45 am Sundays during the church year.
